Text Box: The summer camp program for 2010 is built around the theme: Be a Hero: Living Like Jesus. Unlike the superheroes that leap tall buildings in a single bound, being a hero for God is different. It means recognizing a need, realizing that something can be done to address that need, and taking the risk to act. As Christians, we are not perfect, but we are dearly loved by God -no matter how the world sees us- and, we can be a HERO for God when we open our forgiven hearts and let Him act through us.

Our prayer for Summer Camp 2010, is that through experience, sharing, and working together, this message will become more than head knowledge, but that it will take root in the hearts, and impact the lives, of each and every participant.
Text Box: Our Goals for all Summer Camp Participants
Experience Spiritual Growth
Build and share community in a safe environment
Invest time, energy and effort in relationships
Provide a special place in nature for growing in faith and reflecting on Jesus’ teaching
Serve others, giving out of God’s love for us through engaging activities at camp
Equip staff through training and empowerment to serve as leaders who engage the campers, and live out the Goals for Summer Camp
Text Box: What do I need to know as my family prepares for camp?
Resident camping opportunities are available in June and July for children and youth ranging in ages 6-16.
Camper eligibility is based on the camper’s age as of September 1, 2010.
Receive a discount if you pay in full by April 1, 2010.
“Bring a Friend” is back by popular demand: your camper can bunk with ONE friend of the same gender and age!  This should be a mutual arrangement, reflected on each individual’s form.
To encourage new friendships, children from the same congregation will not normally be assigned to the same cabin.
A physical exam after August 1, 2009 is required by Texas state law for all overnight campers.
Our camp staff includes a nurse and staff who are trained in First Aid and CPR.
Grace Presbytery conducts background checks on all  camp staff members and volunteers.
Resident camp sessions end with a celebration of the week at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday morning - families and guests are welcome!
