Camp DescriptionsText Box: Mini Camp Heroes Ages 6-8     June 16-19;    July 7-10 
Note: Camp begins at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.  Counselors and Counselors In Training (CITs) lead this group of little heroes.  Mini campers will enjoy their first camp  experience during a short yet action-packed stay at Gilmont.

Developing leadership skills, the week of CIT engages teens in the basics of     leading and planning a Christian growth experience for elementary aged students.  This will include implementing the plan during mini-camp, and will   conclude with a reflection time of experiences from the week w/ camp staff.

Excited young campers ready for a full week experience - we recommend 7-year olds have previous mini-camp experience.  Campers enjoy their first camping out experience and outdoor dinner cooking.

More seasoned campers enjoy a night camping out in tents, experience outdoor cooking dinner and breakfast; as well as archery during the week. Campers enjoy night hikes including hill-top astronomy, and calling owls.

Looking for adventure? This camp is not for the faint of heart! Campers learn some simple survival skills, live like a pioneer, do most of their own outdoor cooking, give back to Gilmont with service projects, and have some fun roughing it in the hogans which are near baths and meeting spaces. More to do in 2010!

Discover what it takes to be a responsible steward of our resources.  Be part of a field investigation team working together to find evidence in the forest ecosystem of a loving creator God -  Activities will include gardening, rain harvesting,     composting, recycling, and more.

Working with professional instructors, students will learn new skills while       participating in a variety of music, art, and drama activities - worshiping God through creative expression and being part of a small production.
