DAY PROGRAM

The Outdoor School Day Program is a

one-day outdoor school experience available to students in grades 1-7.  The day includes developing a plan, recording observations and measurements, classifying living organisms and understanding their basic needs, estimating, observing cycles, nature sketching, and drawing conclusions.

Scientific journaling is an important part of every outdoor school experience.  Younger grades complete a Big Book that is given to the teacher to take back to the classroom.  Students in grades 2-5 complete individual field investigation booklets.

CGOS can accommodate Up to 2 classes per day.  Students bring a sack lunch and can use picnic tables at the camp. A typical day is 9am – 2pm.
